[Yukio needed space.
It's surprising how quickly he needed it, honestly. He'd been so desperate for friendship before, but now with Rin dropping him off bentos every day, Shiemi growing flowers for his classroom and giving him all sorts of natural remedies for stress, Suguro trying to offer meditation advice, plus seeing everyone on the daily for class and then after to help with cleaning up the school...
He really hopes no one will fault him for needing a little alone time. It's not like he's distancing himself from them! He's more than learned his lesson about doing that, now that his hatred for parts of himself caused the destruction of half of True Cross, plus the town surrounding it. He just has a lot of work to do to atone for things, and on top of all his regular work as a teacher and exorcist... he's a little exhausted.
He just needs space to plan out his next moves, figure out how to possibly apologize for the mess he made (even if everyone seems to think it's fine now). He takes a Renaissance mission from Mephisto and politely declines a partner, claiming he'll find his own. Which of course he doesn't do. It's not like there's anything dangerous here, though, and he did leave a note with his students on how to contact him, so if they really need to track him down, they'll find him.
For now, though, at least it's peaceful. Yukio observes the areas Mephisto told him to, wanders around, gathers information... mainly though, he's just taking in some fresh air. After a few hours, he isn't even really paying attention, just jotting down notes for a lesson plan in a notebook.
He's particularly sensitive. If any demons do show up, he should notice right away, right?]
